What to Expect From Hospice Care?
HealthNow Hospice care, commonly known as end-of-life care are options provided by doctors to patients that are terminally ill or who are at their end of life naturally. Usually, patients who qualify for this program are those who only have six months or less to live. In most cases, patients and families choose hospice care understand that persin in hospice is no longer responding to treatments.
When Is It Time For Hospice?
Hospice care comes at a time when the patient's condition is not improving, the patient is terminally ill, and the patient and family are ready to come to terms of the patient's end of life. This period allows the patient and family to focus quality of life at the end of life spending time reminiscing, saying goodbyes, and handling affairs that are necessary.
Paying For Hospice
Terminally ill patients qualify for the Medicare Hospice Benefit and do NOT usually pay for any Hospice services out of their pocket. If the patient qualifies for Medicare, then their cost if fully covered. Private insurances also generally cover Hospice.
